There is no doubt that regulation and compliance has become a significant feature of the insurance landscape over the last few years. The market expectation, whether you work as a broker or as an insurer, is that more is yet to come. We believe that this regulation will lead to a sounder and more stable industry in the future, which is good news for customers, brokers and insurers alike.
In this edition of eZine we give an update on a range of developments in relation to Irish regulation, including Consumer Protection Code, Fit and Proper Regime, Minimum Competency Requirements and Data Protection. Continuing with the compliance theme we outline some key points regarding the National Fleet Database, specifically the fleet and motor trade element of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) - an important new initiative in the fight against uninsured driving.
At Allianz we focus on our broker partners and we are always seeking new ways to improve our products and services. In this issue we focus on the launch on Spike of our new home product, Allianz Saver. This product delivers a high standard of cover at a very competitive and affordable price. We also remind you of our "Hospitality" product proposition. We give an update on our claims service, particularly relating to the bad weather events of late 2010 and we share some positive feedback that we received from claimants.
Brokers play the central role in supporting customers through your sales skills and strong technical knowledge. We are pleased to assist your efforts through our SME Allianz Learning Partnership Programme. A new module on Business Interruption is scheduled for September 2011…so book your place now!
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is very important to Allianz Ireland. One key element of our CSR programme is our involvement with Junior Achievement Ireland and Young Enterprise. Our volunteering staff participate in programmes to give school students an appreciation of the value of work and enterprise. Feedback from both the organisations and from our volunteers has been extremely positive.
